Folk in Photos
Thank you for visiting my photographic website, featuring some of my photographs taken at various folk festivals and other events I have covered, and not necessarily paid jobs but charity events, and other opportunities.
The early work at the Cambridge Folk Festival, and the Oliver production at Theatr Ardudwy, Harlech were shot on a Fuji S3 as you can tell by the noise at the extreme end of the ISO used to capture the images but it's the energy in the images which make you ignore the excessive noise.
Celtic Connections in Glasgow lasts for about 3 weeks in January, and takes up a lot of venues apart from the main Glasgow Concert Hall built in 1990, they also use the Old Fruitmarket, and St Andrews, all venues close to what is termed the Merchant City, which for those that have never been, is full of great bars and restaurants.
Wickham Folk Festival, in Hampshire was shot on a Nikon D300 and the lenses I used were Nikon 50mm f1.4, and for most of the shots, the Nikon 80-200 f2.8 is a great lens to use being both sharp and versitile in concert situations.
I've also done charity work for the Saving Faces charity, and their sponsered cycle ride is now in its 3rd year, and is being held at The Redbridge Cycle Center, Hainault on Sunday, 10th of June. Everyone is welcome, and it's a great day out.
I hope you enjoy the photographs, and if you want to drop me an email then please do.
Thanks, Scott
